Spatio-Temporal Decomposition and Coordination for Distributed Load Restoration in AC/DC Hybrid System

A new spatio-temporal decomposition and coordination scheme is proposed for load restoration in an AC/DC hybrid transmission system. First, the framework of built restoration, decoupled variables spatial temporal coordinators are defined, as well two interactive blocks. Furthermore, decomposed models subsystems HVDC links constructed considering security constraints operation characteristics. Finally, a hierarchical overlapping based analytical target cascading (HOC_ATC) algorithm developed to coordinate by iterative calculations between coordinators, The distributed maintains independent operations subsystems, handles multi-step process iteratively calculating single-step models. HOC_ATC provides tractable efficient computation model incorporated optimization. effectiveness method validated using IEEE test systems, showing improved computational efficiency better convergence ability.
